Yes, that kid with the dodgy shirt, cravat and toothy smile is me... a long time ago I have to say, and the long-haired guy rolling his eyes is also me... although I have had my hair cut since then...

 

I've been making stuff up for a long long time. I started when I was probably about the age in the top photo. I think I had to make up a story about how my Mum got me to wear such an appalling shirt...

I have written books for a while too, but never done anything with them, so that's why I started 'Bad-Books'. I wanted to tell the stories and most importantly, I wanted my readers to tell me what they think. For too long Authors have written books in small rooms and people have read them, but they never really talked to each other. So, this is my invite to you, send me a message -here - and tell me what you like or don't like - and I will start to write more books that you might like even more...

 

In these 'about me' pages people like to read about what I've done... today I've fed the dogs, fed the kids and adjusted my website. Over the years I've made uploads of TV shows, including ‘The Tweenies’, and a bunch of other stuff for  BBC, Nickelodeon, Disney, Sprout, ITV, C4 and Sky. These days I still make stuff up, and I am a regular director on the UK soaps, such as 'Eastenders', 'Hollyoaks' and 'Emmerdale'.

I also do theatre and arena shows, including 26 arena scale shows for things like 'Doctor Who' and theatre for 'The Hairy Bikers'. Even a musical for Mr Tumble! I've also recently written an indie rock musical based on 'Dennis the Menace' and I'm in the midst of writing a really exciting adaptation of Oliver Jeffer's 'Lost and Found'
